Margie I. Shaum, 88 passed away peacefully at the Apple Tree Retirement Center on November 10, 1998.
Margie was born August 7, 1910 in Wilson Lane, Utah, to Orton LeRoy King and Ethel Tracy King. She was the oldest of nine children. She married Milton J. Shaum on May 28, 1929. He preceded her in death October 1996.She worked in the canning industry for twelve years. She was also employed in the grocery industry at the Stop and Shop Market. She was honored and respected by everyone that knew her and she demonstrated honesty, determination and success in all that she did, and personified a strong work ethic. She retired after 31 years of loyal service.
Margie was a devoted wife and had a great love for her family of five children, 21 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Her memory was remarkable, as she was able to remember every birthday of her 85 descendants.
She was a talented, loving and generous person and was frequently in the service of others. We will all greatly miss her.

Personal Testimony of Joseph Smith:
I was personally acquainted with the Prophet Joseph Smith and the Patriarch, Hyrum Smith, both martyrs; also with Joseph's success and errors down to this day, as well as many of the Apostles I know of a surety that they are servants of God, and that Joseph and Hyrum was led by His Spirit to do what they did and to establish the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
